History
My interested
in tibbies started at 1975, when I was lucky enough to meet the lovely
tibbie female here at my hometown. The breed was rare at that time in
Finland, but it stole my heart for the rest of my life. It was the happiest
day of my life, when we brought home black and tan coloured
Tibetan Spaniel male puppy Black Diamond. This male was bought as a pet and
he was perfect in his role. After two years, we bought another male
puppy, black and white Fin Ch of Zlazano Zilvio, as I was interested to
start showing and junior handler competitions. During these years I
learned lot about tibbies and got new friends in shows. In 1983 I got
permission to buy my first bitch and I knew exactly that I wanted her from
kennel Sajasan, Mrs Salme Vestelin. At the end of that same year Int & Nord
Ch Sajasan Isadora moved to us and three years later I was lucky to get two
of her halfsisters Fin Ch Sajasan Odina and Int & Fin & S Ch Sajasan Odette.
These three bitches created the great foundation for my breeding, and nine
years later received I Finnish Kennel Club´s award for top quality breeding.
In my student years all my litters were taken care of my parents, who lived in Kuopio. I showed actively and the star of those days was my beautiful bitch Fin Ch Tashi-Gong Ava Gardner, who attracted specially specialists from Great-Britain.
When finished my studies, returned I back to Kuopio and settled to Kurkimäki. After few tibbie litters I met my becoming husband Pasi and soon we got married. A year later we founded our company and our first child was born. Because our young family and own business, my time for breeding and showing has been limited. Fortunately I have good, trusted friends, with who I have had possibility to continue my dear hobby. At the moment my breeding is depended on my co-own bitches, and based on carefully considered co-own litters with my friends.
At the end
of the year 2002 particolour bitch Bio-Bios Icemaiden moved with us from
Sweden and co-operation with Bio-Bios kennel started. Today we have
four more Bio-Bio´s in our team: the top winning Fin & S Ch Bio-Bios Highlight
for Tashi-Gong, her brother Int Ch Bio-Bios Hidden Dragon,
Bio-Bios Gladiatress and Bio-Bios Top Dog. I was also more than lucky to
catch a piece of history for my future breeding in 2006, namely Tuuling Chan
Zayenne, who´s grandmother is Fin Ch Tashi-Gong Cayenne - one of the
foundation bitches of kennel Tuuling.
Pekingeses step to my life in 2008, when Young-King Queen-Tashi moved with
us. I am so impressed with the history of this old breed, which is so unique
of it´s own way. I hope there will be also Tashi-Gong pekingeses in the
future and this breed would be as beloved in my heart as tibbies are today.

Tashi-Gong Tibetan Spaniels come from Kurkimäki, little village which is
located about 25 kms from the
city of Kuopio in the middle of Finland. I breed Tibetan Spaniels in the small scale at home and
all our dogs are beloved familymembers from the beginning of their lives
until the very end. Carefully planned litters born in the middle of the
normal familylife, being used to handling from the very young age. None of
our puppies will be sold to kennel conditions or just for showing purposes -
every single Tashi-Gong puppy deserve a loving, permanent home for first and
foremost.
Breeding is my dear hobby - lifestyle from my childhood. All our
combinations are carefully planned, healthy issues strictly concerned, breed
standard clearly in mind. What makes Tashi-Gong Tibetan Spaniels different
from others, is my own way to see this unique breed, it´s characters and
all aspects which make it Tibetan Spaniel among other breeds. Finnish
Kennel Club has honoured me, as a breeder of Tashi-Gong Tibetan Spaniels,
for Vuolasvirta Breeder Award for top quality breeding.
I do export, but only on recommondations. Puppies sometimes available for
permanent, loving homes.
